Today is the day our Pirates 🏴 fight for the BI-District Championship! Pirates Nation, come out & let's show our support for our team!
WE REFUSE TO SINK ⚓
Thank you for your service to our country. Happy Veterans Day!!!
Due to the high rate of illness among students and staff, Chilton ISD will be closed on Thurs, 11/10/2022, and Friday, 11/11/2022. On Wed, 11/9/2022, the GermBlast Corporation will disinfect all Chilton ISD facilities and buses. We will return on Monday, 11/14/2022.
Pirate Nation,
Flu season is upon us. As we notice an increase in the number of influenza illnesses within our district, we encourage students, staff, and parents to consider the following preventive actions:
-Get vaccinated for the influenza virus.
-Wash hands often and don't share food items with anyone.
-Cover all coughs and/or sneezes.
-If running a fever, please stay home.
As an additional measure to counteract the spread of infection, we have contacted our disinfection partner, Germ Blast, to come back and disinfect our campuses, since the last visit on October 15, 2022. Please see the attached CDC infographic for additional information.
Pirate Nation,
Friday, November 11, 2022 will be an early release day. All students will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. We look forward to seeing as much of Pirate Nation as possible in La Grange as our Pirates take on the Yorktown Wildcats.
Pirate Nation,
As we focus on our Live to Give and Attitude of Gratitude mindsets, we want to remind everyone that we are still collecting food for our community food pantry. Our goal is to collect 5000 pounds of food. To date we have collected 1494.95 pounds of food. Please send non-perishable food items or cash donations with your student to their homeroom teacher. Thank you to the 7th Grade Honors homeroom for chairing this community initiative.
November 9, 2022
Dear Parent or Caregiver,
Beginning on November 14, 2022, students in grades 3 – 12 in the Chilton Independent School District will have the opportunity to participate in the School Perceptions Student Life Survey.
In alignment with our strategic plan, the survey is designed to measure a student’s engagement at school. It will provide our district with answers to important questions, such as:
What practices and policies help our students learn, and what barriers are in the way?
Do students feel supported?
What could be done to increase student involvement, both in and out of the classroom?
The survey is online and takes about 10 minutes to complete. Once the survey is done, the District will receive a summary report that will not include confidential or identifiable information. District leaders will have the opportunity to analyze the data by student name and demographic information.
The survey is not a test, and students’ grades will not be affected by their responses or participation. A copy of the survey is available for your review in the elementary office, secondary office, or central administration office. If you do not want your child to participate, you must return the form at the bottom of this letter by Friday, November 11, 2022. If no form is received, your child will be asked to participate in the survey.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at bhubbard@chiltonisd.org or 254-546-1227.
Sincerely,
Dr. Brandon K. Hubbard
Superintendent
