Pirate Nation,
As many of you have heard, the ACE after-school program was not funded for the 2021-2022 school year. We understand that after-school programming is essential for the students, parents, and Chilton ISD community. Therefore, the Chilton ISD will launch the STARS (Students That Are Reaching Success) After-School program to serve students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. This program, held on Monday through Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., will focus on providing academic interventions, homework assistance, enrichment activities, and a nutritious dinner. In addition, our K-3 grade students will pilot the Footsteps2Brilliance community literacy program that focuses on providing fun and engaging literacy opportunities to Chilton ISD students. These experiences and academic enrichments will be provided free of charge to Chilton ISD students in Kindergarten through 8th grades. Sign ups will be held during the Open House event on Thursday, August 19, 2021 beginning at 5:30 p.m. For additional information, contact Dr. Brandon Hubbard at 254-546-1227 or email bhubbard@chiltonisd.org.
