Dear Parent or Caregiver,
Beginning on November 14, 2022, students in grades 3 – 12 in the Chilton Independent School District will have the opportunity to participate in the School Perceptions Student Life Survey.
In alignment with our strategic plan, the survey is designed to measure a student’s engagement at school. It will provide our district with answers to important questions, such as:
What practices and policies help our students learn, and what barriers are in the way?
Do students feel supported?
What could be done to increase student involvement, both in and out of the classroom?
The survey is online and takes about 10 minutes to complete. Once the survey is done, the District will receive a summary report that will not include confidential or identifiable information. District leaders will have the opportunity to analyze the data by student name and demographic information.
The survey is not a test, and students’ grades will not be affected by their responses or participation. A copy of the survey is available for your review in the elementary office, secondary office, or central administration office. If you do not want your child to participate, you must return the form at the bottom of this letter by Friday, November 11, 2022. If no form is received, your child will be asked to participate in the survey.

Chilton Pirates Vs Yorktown Wildcats Friday 11/11/2022
@ 7 PM @ Leopard Stadium, LaGrange, Texas. Chilton will be the home team. Tickets are $7 for Adults and $4 for Students. Tickets will be sold online only (info coming). THSCA, TGCA, and UIL DISTRICT PASSES will be accepted.

The next meeting of the Chilton ISD Facility Committee will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. All Chilton ISD stakeholders (parents, students, teachers, administrators, community members, and business owners) are encouraged to attend. Due to impending weather conditions and the availability of officials, we have had to make the following changes to the football schedule this week:
Junior High will play on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in Milano at 5:00 p.m. There will not be a JV game.
The varsity game will be on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Featherston field. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. For additional information or questions, please contact Coach Bennie Huitt.

Reminder:
The Chilton ISD will host a facility planning meeting on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chilton ISD cafeteria. Given recent events, school safety is a top concern of administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members. This meeting will be a debrief as it relates to the failed bond proposition in May 2022. In addition, it will provide the opportunities to consider and discuss district necessities as it relates to student and staff security.
