Day 7: Our Grade 4 and 5 Students are ready for their space walks.

Day 6: Highlights (a little late) Grade 3 and 4 Cohort students investigating non-fiction texts about bridges. Challenge was to build a bridge out of straws that would hold 40 coins.

Day 5: 7th and 8th grade students planning and brainstorming their Rover designs for their mission.

Day 5: Our 4th and 5th Grade Cohort are engulfed in the Hidden Figures book. Nothing like a good relevant read. #ChallengeSupportGrow #StillLearning

Day 5: Our 3rd and 4th grade Cohort began their Bridges Under Construction theme. Students read The Three Billy Goats Gruff and were tasked with constructing a strong bridge using index cards. #StillLearning #ChallengeSupportGrow

Day 4 Highlights: Grade 4 and 5 students continued their Hidden Figures by completing their Space Shuttles. Students began preparing for next week’s study of stars, constellations, and galaxies. Pictures below. #ChallengeSupportGrow

Day 4 Highlight: Grade 3 and 4 After reading the Jack and the Beanstalk narrative, the students began Jack’s Golden Egg delivery challenge. Students had to design, problem solve, and construct a model to safely drop an egg from a given height.

Day 4 Highlights: Grade 8 Cohort Our young astronauts designing and programming their rovers for the re-enactment of the Apollo mission to Mars. #ChallengeSupportGrow

Day 4 Highlights: The Work Continues Students are continuing their Valley of the Moon book study and learning scientific notation for their space exploration project. These kids are eager to learn. The sky is definitely the limit. #ChallengeSupportGrow

Day 3 Highlights: Summer Enrichment Trip to the Mayborn Museum for grades 6 - 8. And a little fun at Cameron Park for lunch. #ChallengeSupportGrow

Congratulations to the members of the Chilton ISD Pirate and Lady Pirate track team for representing well at Regionals. Congratulations to CJ Oliver for a 4th place finish in the 100m dash. Congratulations Mya Salinas for a 5th place finish in the 300m hurdles.
